Also available: PDF Version (If the image above is too large for your taste, try the PDF! It downscales to your needs nicely) Is the map inaccurate? Has there been new bridges? Have existing bridges gone offline? Please Notify Me of these changes, as I'm not always aware of them right away! Note: Do not bookmark directly to the map image or you will not get updates properly. The maps are individually numbered (i.e. Catch-20080311.png) so that they are not broken by the in-game browser's shitty cache support. |

About: I created this map because I basically live in Catch, and I was unhappy with the generic cookie-cutter nature of the Ombeve map for this region being used as the defacto-standard map. Don't get me wrong, Ombey maps are EXCELLENT, but I wanted something a little more tailored to my home region. So, I started by removing all of the "No station" icons, then I labelled all the outposts that I know about. Then I addressed another issue I have had in the past, the old IAC highway map downsizes the original Ombeve map, and makes some of the text a bit harder to read. In addition, some of the lines overlap system names/details. So I re-did those with as little overlap as possible. The tools used are Adobe Acrobat to extract the Ombeve map with vectors in-tact, and then Adobe Illustrator to design everything. I hope you enjoy my map. If you have any suggestions please Contact Me to suggest them. |
